Nick Malgieri returns to Let’s Get Cookin’ with two new classes. Former Executive Pastry Chef of Windows on the World, Nick currently directs the baking program at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City. He also travels and teaches across the country at various schools.

His articles have appeared in major magazines and he has been on all the national morning shows, food network, PBS, etc. Nick is the author of eight cookbooks including the award winning books Chocolate and How To Bake. More recently he authored Perfect Cakes; A Baker’s Tour and Perfect Light Desserts. Nick is the most confident baker and teacher we know.

The Modern Baker is built on the principle that everyone loves great home made baked goods but no one likes to spend an entire day in the kitchen preparing them. Nick will demonstrate six recipes that use quick and easy techniques to produce the same results you might have spent more time trying to achieve, with absolutely no difference in quality. No-knead rolls, a sweet tart with a press-in crust, a layer cake whipped up by hand in a few minutes, and more show you how to bake the modern way.
