Dana SlatkinDana Slatkin is a chef, consultant and culinary teacher. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, she trained in France with Michelin Three-Star chefs Georges Blanc and Michel Guerard and with renowned patissier Pierre Hermé at Fauchon. After cooking in New York City at Bouley, Dana moved to Los Angeles to become General Manager at L´Orangerie. She later became a co-owner of Shutters on the Beach where she remains today.
Channeling the charm of her luxury seaside resort, Dana utilizes her cooking and entertaining skills in writing The Summertime Anytime Cookbook: Recipes from Shutters on the Beach.This book is full of signature dishes from the hotel’s restaurants over the years, casually elegant décor tips from celebrity designer Michael S. Smith and homemade beauty treatments from Ole Henriksen of ONE the Spa.
